The Modern Gentleman Is A Nice Guy, But Not a “Nice Guy.”

The emergence of the women’s movement allowed women to make a quantum leap forward with regard to personal freedom and options compared to their counterparts from the late fifties and early sixties. Clearly society has gone a long way to level the socio-economic playing field between the sexes. However, it has not been without its casualties. One of the most insidious has been the feminization of the male population as embodied by the “nice guy” who gets slammed into the dreaded “friend box.”

However, many men today experience frustration and confusion concerning how they should behave with women because what constitutes a “nice guy” is up for much debate. The modern gentleman is a nice guy, but definitely not a “nice guy.”
